Link Building Campaigns Should They Be Automated

Any link building campaigns that you are looking to set up must contain a diverse types of backlinks to get the best results.  According to Google the way to improve search engine rankings for a website is to build natural links from sites that they deem acceptable.  Due to the new Panda update that google has conducted recently, many sites are now under the undesirable site bracket.

If you use automated link building tools then there is a good possibility that links from these sites will be obtained and that is not a good thing.  When google spiders a site it checks where the links come from and if it is from a site that is on their blacklist then no link juice will be given.  This is why getting links from another site is best done manually as you can pick and choose the sites that will not get you penalised.

The best link building strategy that you can do includes building backlinks from different types of marketing. This should include articles, press releases, social bookmarking and directories, which will give you the natural linking that the search engines are looking for. Diversity is your best weapon and if done correctly will give you the best chance of a top search engine ranking for your website.

When doing article marketing the best places to submit to are those sites that carry little or no ads. The reason for this is that the search engines now count these ad filled sites as content farms and will not give them good rankings, meaning that any backlinks from these sites are virtually worthless. Submitting press releases is a very good way of getting quality links back to your site and checking out some press release samples first will give you a guide to what is acceptable content.

Many people make the mistake of starting their link building campaigns around automation as this is what they have been told is best when they have looked for advice online. Unfortunately the so called experts are only interested in selling their supposedly quality products that will make you rich overnight.  They are not interested in whether their product will cause your site to be dropped by the search engines due to their black hat tactics, all they want is your money.

Ultimately the link building strategy that you use is your own choice, but to improve search engine rankings for your website you must be careful in your choosing.  With all of the different strategies promoted on many forums and other sites you must do your due diligence before trying any of them out. Not only could you end up losing money, you could be doing a lot of harm to your own website by linking to sites that have been blacklisted by the search engines.
